- Taught undergraduate courses in communication, journalism, broadcast communication, media studies, and audiovisual media production, covering practical media production skills, media theory, and research.
- Supervised over twenty undergraduate thesis projects, three of which were later published in academic journals, while several others were presented at international conferences.
- Served on advisory panels for postgraduate students completing master’s theses.
- Conducted original research and contributed to the field through the publication of journal articles, book chapters, and research reports in peer-reviewed journals, books, and conference proceedings.
- Took an active role in institutional governance by serving as a member or lead in various university committees, including those involved in academic planning for online and hybrid learning during the COVID-19 pandemic, thesis awards selection, academic staff recruitment, research symposia and workshops, research ethics review, theatre production, campus events, and student elections.
- Held administrative leadership roles within the University.
- Undertook extension work to the academic community as a reviewer for academic journals, theses from other institutions, research competitions, and university accreditation processes.

Director, Ugnayan ng Pahinungód Baguio (Public Service and Volunteer Office)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Directed the full operations of the office.
- Led the unit in its mandate to extend volunteer service and support to marginalised and underserved communities, both within and beyond the region.
- Supervised and convened regular meetings with the Pahinungód team for the preparation, implementation, and evaluation of multiple service-oriented projects to ensure that each initiative aligned with the values and mission of the Pahinungód system.
- Oversaw all planning meetings, set priorities, assigned responsibilities, and monitored the delivery of outputs across various programmes.
- Maintained regular coordination with the university administration to provide updates on ongoing work, secure institutional support, and clarify processes related to personnel, finance, and logistics.
- Worked directly with funding agencies and partner organisations to secure resources for community projects and handled communication and reporting requirements to sustain external support.
- Led major emergency response efforts during periods of crisis, including organising and deploying teams for rescue operations, relief activities, and other urgent interventions in communities affected by natural calamities.
- Took responsibility for assessing and approving requests for support, and formally endorsed funding proposals, equipment requests, and material needs to the university administration to ensure the timely and effective execution of the office’s programmes.
Department Chair, Department of Communication, College of Arts and Communication (Academic Unit)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provided academic leadership in curriculum development, programme implementation, and alignment with university academic standards.
- Supervised faculty members, managed teaching assignments, and recommended appointments, renewals, and promotions.
- Oversaw day-to-day operations of the academic unit, including scheduling, records management, and coordination with administrative offices.
- Prepared and managed the department’s annual budget and endorsed funding, procurement, and resource requests.
- Supported faculty and student research initiatives and encouraged engagement in extension and public service work.
- Acted on student petitions and academic concerns, ensuring consistent application of academic policies.
- Represented the unit in university councils, committees, and official functions.
- Led internal reviews and ensured compliance with accreditation, quality assurance, and institutional policies, including the Department’s application for the ASEAN University Network Quality Assurance certification.
- Led the Department in its transition to a hybrid mode teaching during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
- Facilitated faculty development activities and promoted collaborative teaching and research culture within the unit.
Coordinator, Learning Resource Center (Student Skills Enhancement Office)
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Directed the operations and defined the strategic direction of the Center in line with the university’s academic support goals.
- Coordinated academic support programs such as peer tutoring, remedial classes, and bridging sessions for students who faced academic challenges.
- Recruited, trained, and supervised student faculty and student tutors and academic support staff to maintain high standards of instruction and assistance.
- Managed administrative functions of the Center, including staff oversight, budget control, documentation, and internal reports.
- Organised academic skills sessions, review classes, and subject-specific consultations in coordination with academic departments.
- Maintained and updated data on student performance, service utilisation, and tutor effectiveness to inform planning and evaluation.
- Established partnerships with university offices to secure funding and enhance academic support services.
